Travel

Chalet St. Joseph is easily reached by air, road and rail. Here is some information to help get you out to resort:

Road & Rail

Travelling by car to the Alps can often be the most convenient and economical way for groups and families. Meribel is approximately 600 miles from Calais ferry port and you can travel almost all of the way by motorway or express dual carriageway. The tolls cost around 75 Euros each way and there is plenty of free parking at the chalet.

via michelin is the best site for directions. For your destination (enter "73550") and select "Savoie: Les Allues". The better route is via Reims rather than Paris.

Chalet St Joseph is located on the left hand side of Route Saint Joseph in Les Allues as you come through the village past the Place du Four and Route du Pre de la Coeur junction.

Rail

Meribel is served by Moutiers international train station, just 20 minutes away from Chalet St. Joseph.

To take the train from London to arrive in resort on Sunday you need to take the train from London to Paris or Lille then change to the SNCF train to Moutiers.

Useful websites include: Rail Europe and Snow Carbon.

Car hire

Booking a car at any of the local airports is fairly straightforward. We recommend that you pre-book in advance. Don't forget to order snow chains/request a 'winter pack' just in case! If flying into Geneva we recommend booking a car on the Swiss side (rather than the French) as it is less hassle and an easier drive (on the Swiss motorway) to and from resort.

On a first come first served basis we can offer air or rail transfers for up to 8 people at a time for a (very competitive) additional fee. Please enquire at time of booking. If we aren't able to provide your transfer we recommend:
